The moon looked a particular way on the night you were born, and a different way on the night your partner was. Personalised Moon (formerly our Double Moon Phase) draws the real moon from 2-6 dates side by side on one print: a crescent for one birthday, a full moon for another, a waning gibbous for the night you married. Each phase is calculated for the exact date and place, and each one carries its own caption.
What is a Personalised Moon print?
It is the simplest way to put several people, or several nights, on one piece of wall art. Two moons for a couple. Three or four for parents and their children, one moon per birth. Six for grandparents with a growing tribe of grandchildren. Because you choose the number, the print suits a new relationship as well as a large family, and you can order a fresh version when someone new arrives.
Accurate, not approximate
The phase of each moon is calculated from astronomical data for the date and location you enter, so a first-quarter moon over Edinburgh on a given night appears as exactly that. Choose a dark background for a dramatic, night-sky look or a pale one that suits a nursery or a hallway. Add a line above each moon and a caption below: names, dates, a short message.
Occasions it suits
Anniversaries, with the moons of the night you met and the night you married. New-baby gifts, with the moon of the birth beside the moons of the parents.
